Reading material related to Rtk. I am a strong advocate for the Hanyu Pinyin system of romanising the chinese characters. Anyone who has played Koei's past Rtk games should be rather comfortable with Hanyu Pinyin since Koei used Hanyu Pinyin for the character's names and places. I know it is difficult for newcomers to adapt to the Hanyu Pinyin version especially those who come from a non-chinese background/education and thereby take the easy way out by using the latin or some other pronounciation method. However in the long run, getting used to the Hanyin Pinyin names and locations will make your enjoyment of this marvellous classic novel a better overall experience.

I understand that it is hard especially for those who don't understand Hanyu Pinyin but you will benefit more in the long run. Chinese Comics
Each volume of the chinese comics consist of four chapters. The illustrations are well very rendered. However some illustrations are a bit exaggerated. Some people may find it amusing while others especially the purists may be slightly put off by these exaggerations. Found in comic stores and Popular Bookstores for S$6.50 (US$3.85) each. Depending on where you live, you will find either the simplified chinese version or the traditional chinese version

English Comics
Asiapac's publication of the Rtk comics consisting of 10 volumes can be purchased online at http://www.asiapacbooks.com/product.asp?pid=102. The comic illustrations can still hold their own although they are not as well done as the chinese comics. It should appeal more to the purist as it takes a more conservative approach in its illustrations.

In Singapore you can find them in Popular, Time and MPH Bookstores. Try looking for the set bundled edition where there is a hard sort of box cover where all 10 volumes can be stored inside. It is cheaper to buy the whole entire set than individually and what's more it comes with the "box" i just mentioned. However this "box" edition is very rare. Estimated retail price for each individual volume is S$9.70 (US$5.75). It uses the Hanyu Pinyin system in identifying the characters and places.
