The Romance of the Three Kingdoms drama series comprising of eighty four episodes was first aired on Singapore TV in 1995,96. It is one of China's biggest productions ever made. Even the process of finding people who bear some resemblence to the historical characters with acting talents proved a big obstacle. Then there is the difficulty of shooting those big battles scenes such as the battle of Chibi, Guandu which involve thousands of men. Historical uniforms and weapons have to be make and crafted for all these men. As providing for the men alone is not problematic enough, there is also the problem posed by the horses that are being used by the mounted soldiers,cavalry. Weather and terrain proved another challenge as certain historical events that took place at certain times/seasons of the year and terrain ranging from the central plains, yellow river, yangtze river, mountainous regions to the desert areas etc. It is no easy feat capturing the essence and feel with all these obstacles to overcome.

The gallery serves as an aid to remembering the large number of characters that are mentioned in the novel. Other than the game itself you can't find any other source that have a lot of pictures for the characters mentioned. For those who have an interest in Romance of the Three Kingdoms but are intimidated by the huge number of characters they have to remember (esp with the Hanyu Pinyin names), the images available in the gallery will be a valuable tool to help them. After all it is easier to remember a person when you have an idea how he/she look like.

This gallery captures some of the more memorable or exciting scenes depicted in the drama series. I'm sure newcomers and veterans alike to Romance of the Three Kingdoms will enjoy and benefit from the images.

For easy accessibility, all names are sorted according to alphabetical order using the Hanyu Pinyin system. eg. Huang Zhong is found in the H page, Lu Bu is found in the L page. Some alphabets will not be used like the alphabet U since there are no names starting with U.
